Logistic Regression: New course from the SSPH+ !
The Swiss School of Public Health+ has just announced a new course for the upcoming Spring: this will be a 3 day course on statistical modeling with emphasis on logistic regression. The course is based on the book “Applied Logistic Regression” and will be facilitated by Professor Stanley Lemeshow (College of Public Health, Ohio State University) and Dr. Astrid Rossegger (Department of Justice, Psychiatric/Psychological Service, Canton of Zürich, Switzerland).
At the end of the course, the participants will:
– master methods of statistical modeling when the response variable is nominal, multinomial or ordinal scale
– be confident users of STATA for computing binary, multinomial, ordinal and conditional logistic regression models.
The course will be held at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine in Bern on 7-9 May 2014. Participants are required to bring their own laptop; the STATA software will be installed on the first day of the course.
As the amount of places is limited, make sure you register online here by 7th April 2014. The full course flyer can be downloaded from this link.
